Hydra community: I’m pleased to be able to announce that the Indiana University Libraries, in partnership with Northwestern University Library, have received a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support work on the Avalon Media System project through January 2017. When configured this way, every time a user logs into Avalon, LDAP is queried to determine the groups to which they belong. The Avalon Media System (Avalon) provides access and management for digital audio and video collections in libraries and archives.
