Conde de Cuba The Origin In the IX Century, rum became a quality and valued drink. The birthplace of Havana Club rum is located an easy 20 kilometres from Varadero in the small city of Cárdenas. Like Cuba, the history of rum has a long tumultuous past and no family was more important during the pre and post-revolutionary days than the infamous Bacardi clan.
