So we could wipe and restart our Time Machine backups without worrying that we’d lose any crucial data—there are plenty of other copies. If you are running system software prior to 10.4 Tiger you will need to download an earlier version of Carbon Copy Cloner (available from the same site). The instructions below will be based around Carbon Copy Cloner although the theory can be applied to SuperDuper too.
